Dog ear muffs reduce the sound reaching the ear. Introduce them in calm time, days before the storm or the show.

Size first

Both lines come in small, medium and large. The size chart on the order page goes by one measurement: around the head, over the ears. A muff that slides off is worse than none, because the dog learns to fight it.

The gel line has softer cushions that some dogs accept more easily; the foam line is lighter.

Practice before the noise

The American Kennel Club stresses introducing ear muffs gradually. A few seconds with a treat, then minutes, then a walk. A dog that panics at noise also needs its veterinarian: the muffs are a help, not a treatment.

PROHEAR dog ear muffs: questions

How do you choose the size of PROHEAR dog ear muffs?

Measure around the head over the ears and compare with the size chart on the order page: small, medium or large. The straps then adjust within that size.

Will PROHEAR dog ear muffs calm a dog during fireworks?

They reduce the sound reaching the ear. They do not treat fear. Introduce them days before, and ask your vet about a dog that panics.
