Why pads matter
The cushion is half of the seal. A flattened or cracked one lets sound leak around the cup, and the rating printed for the muff assumes a good seal: OSHA says its estimate holds only for a protector that is properly fitted and worn.
Gel pads mold around the arms of your glasses instead of bridging over them, which NIOSH names as one way earmuffs lose their seal.

Each pad page names the muffs it fits, ours and other makers’. GEP01 fits most 3M PELTOR headsets; GEP02 fits Howard Leight Impact Sport and our 030, 066 and 016; GEP03 fits Walker’s Razor; FEP01 fits 3M WorkTunes Connect and our 027, 033 and 037.

Which PROHEAR gel pads fit your Howard Leight Impact Sport?
The GEP02. It also fits the Howard Leight Pro, Sync and Leightning and our own 030, 066 and 016 muffs.
How often should you replace earmuff pads?
When they harden, crack or stay flat after you press them. For the FEP01 we suggest about every six months of regular use.
